Automotive Technician - Neillsville

We are a Chevrolet and Buick dealer in Neillsville that just added a full line up of Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles on June 1st. Our automotive service center needs another reliable Automotive Technician to join our team. We operate one of the finest and most efficient repair shops in the area, and we require excellence of our devoted staff. Each Automotive Technician must be properly licensed and have the experience necessary to provide our customers with optimum service. Most of our customers drive trucks, sport utility vehicles and passenger vans, but we also see our fair share of sedans and coupes. We offer competitive salaries and generous benefits.

Automotive Service Technician Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Follow proper road test and diagnostic procedures
  • Communicate with dispatch office, parts department and service advisor
  • Maintain a working knowledge of current industry best practices in automotive repair
  • Conduct extensive diagnostic procedures to determine the sources of customers’ problems and provide accurate repair recommendations
  • Inspect vehicles according to the state’s requirements for emissions and safety
  • Conduct necessary repairs and take vehicles for test drives to verify soundness
  • Maintain legible and accurate paperwork for both the customer and for our records
  • Clean and maintain the work environment to ensure equipment longevity and workplace safety
  • Continue Training on either GM or Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge-Ram product
Automotive Service Technician Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • ASE certification is a plus
  • Willingness to participate in in-house training
  • Ability to operate all auto repair tools
  • Knowledge of diagnostic tools and equipment

  • The Gross Auto Group has been in business since 1956. Currently, we are one of the largest auto groups in Central Wisconsin. This job will have plenty of opportunity and great working conditions. We are now constructing a brand new Chrysler-Jeep-Dodge-Ram facility right next to our existing Chevrolet-Buick facility. We are looking to add two technicians as soon as possible.
